How to add fingerprint to my app independently to the fingerprints in the system?
I want to develop an Android app that uses a fingerprint as authentication.
I found many tutorials use the fingerprints which are stored in the system where fingerprint screen lock must be enabled also.
But this doesn't make sense to lock your app while the phone is locked! Is there any independent way to implement fingerprint as authentication

How to begin Android Development. Start coding or start learning?
I have been working as a VB 6 Developer for the same company since 2002 but have been interested in Mobile Phones and Android App Development for a couple of years now. I even have an app on Google Play and the Apple Store.
The problem is the Android app I created in particular, I hacked together from bits and pieces from the internet, videos, tutorials on Google Maps and Firebase etc. That got me a working App on the store, but I don't feel I really know Java or Android Studio properly. I now have another idea for an app and I have started taking the same approach, but I have an underlying feeling that I don't know what I'm doing.
The end game is that I want to be an expert Android Developer and I want to complete the Android Associate developer Certification but at the same time, I want to work on the App idea I have. My question is how much should I learn before I start working on an App. Should I just continue with my approach but take more care understanding what the tutorials are saying, not just Copy and Paste? Or should I get my Certification so as to get to a level of knowledge that will give the confidence I desire?
How to prevent fingerprint scanner from being chosen as a gamepad?
My game uses the InputManager to iterate through all device IDs, choosing ones that have Joystick and Gamepad flags set. The problem is that some devices (the LG V35 ThinQ for example) are registering their Fingerprint Scanners as Keyboard|Joystick|Gamepad which is messing things up for my users. Is there a more fool-proof way of detecting actual Gamepad/Joystick devices or is this a bug for LG to solve?
How to apply BAS's Fingerprint to Chrome through Selenium?
I'm new to programming, I'm using Selenium + Chrome to do some small tasks.
I found that BAS has a very nice function called FingerPrintSwitcher, which lets you change the browser, so BAS will use one of the scripts like this to apply to the browser:
My question is how to use this script on my Selenium + Chrome?
Thank you for all your help.

- How to get AuthenticationResult Fingerprint in HUAWEI phone?
Using fingerprint reader against external authentication
I understand the Android/iOS biometric subsystems are not designed for exposing 'finger print ids' outside of their proprietary internal APIs used for unlocking the device, etc.
However, can the sensor itself be used to collect finger print data to send to a third party source, e.g. used as a basic sensor?
