ePubJS - Rerender Book
I am trying to change a chapters innerHTML property using Book.on('renderer:chapterDisplayed'). I can see my changes when I console.log them but because the chapter is already loaded the changes won't appear. How do I rerender the chapter?

How to Open pdf, epub, ncx, opf files?
I have an ebook downloaded from my university elearning site, it was downloaded, not online reading. But it can only be opened and readed from university's elearning app (android only, no iOS app for it) and the ebook can not be printed. I was stuck because i'm not used to read whole text book on android phone i want to print it or if i read the ebook, it should be on laptop or big screen desktop not small phone.
After looking up into file explorer inside my android phone, i figure out that the ebook that was downloaded coming from either (or even both):
META-INF/container.xml 1.pdf 2.pdf 3.pdf 4.pdf ... ... ...and so on... ... ... 419.pdf canbold.otf canitalik.otf canregular.otf content.opf mimetype stylesheet.css toc.ncx *Note: all of those files above are contained in single .abcFolderName/ folder.
and somehow the provided university's elearning app compile all of those files so it can be read from the app.
This is what i've tried so far:
123.epubto PDF -> ERROR when converting
123.epubwith various EPUB reader (lithium on android, calibre on computer, chrome epub reader on computer) -> SO FAR no luck, all return an error.
3.pdfand so on, one by one, with various PDF reader (on android and on computer) -> SO FAR no luck, all return an error.
Importing whole folder from Calibre software to make it (compile it) into single ebook -> SO FAR no luck at all.
I'm frustrated by this since the book is hundreds of pages and i cannot read it other than on my small android phone.
Please help me, Thanks.
best way to display epub file in a webview swift 3?
currently i am using the epubExtractor project from the below link
but i could'nt render the epub file on my UIWebView.
epub.js with user authintication
I want to build an online reader and eventually found the epub.js. My library will be free for everyone to read. Readers have to register first to get the access of the books. i found the following code on the doc, there the book path is mentioned. If i show the book path then other non registered users might get the access, how can i manage this? or is there any other similar tool to read epubs from browser with controlled access.
<script> var Book = ePub("url/to/book/"); Book.renderTo("area"); </script>
Encrypt the epub file
I am creating an
ePub Reader App. Currently, the app can render the ePub file from local storage. But my intention is not to render the open (unencrypted) epub file but rather the encrypted one.
What my app basically wants to do is
- download the epub file from a server through the app
- then encrypt the epub file before storing on the mobile storage
- render the encrypted epub file on the app
I want to implement the feature similar to
youtube offline videosin my ebook app. As we know youtube stores the offline videos as
encrypted exo filesand displays them only through the youtube app. I want the downloaded epub files to be displayed only on our app but nothing else.
Is it possible to encrypt the
epubfile as a whole or if possible as separate encrypted files like youtube?
My main question is how to encrypt and display the encrypted epub file in the app.
PS. I am using react-native for app development
