WordPress search result return front page link with slug
WordPress search result returns front page link with the slug. When it is clicked and opened it should lead me to the frontpage of my WordPress multisite, with, or without slug in URL. But instead of doing this, it leads me to another page of that subdomain website. for example, my home page slug is http://www.example.com/mysubdomain/. My search results page return to homepage URL as http://www.example.com/mysubdomain/front-page-slug . Know if I click this link in my search results, I am redirected to http://www.example.com/mysubdomain/some-other-page. and not to 1) http://www.example.com/mysubdomain/ 2) http://www.example.com/mysubdomain/front-page-slug

Making my WordPress site GDPR compliant
I've been asked to make a site that I've built, GDPR compliant.
The site uses a couple of 3rd party plugins and is also using Skimlinks.
Now that I've sat down to attempt to control the cookies being set etc, I'm overwhelmed.
I just don't understand how I can control the cookies being set by these 3rd party plugins, how to detect what is being set (I've used a couple of tools, and also inspected the site myself to see which cookies are being set and each method is telling me different cookies).
How do I even start to address this, and what are my options? I understand there are plugins that help with this, but most of them require you to add some form of code that interferes with the 3rd party plugins, and I have no clue on how these 3rd party plugins work, let along write code to interact with them.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Wordpress: Can't get URL in article tag with get_the_id();
I have this markup
<article id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>" <?php post_class($masonry_item_sizing); ?> style="background: url("<?php echo get_post_meta(get_the_ID(), 'sponsors_logo_file_url', true); ?>")"> <div class="inner-wrap animated"> <div class="post-content"> <img src="<?php echo get_post_meta(get_the_ID(), 'sponsors_logo_file_url', true); ?>"> <p><?php the_title(); ?></p> <p><?php echo get_post_meta(get_the_ID(), 'event_location', true); ?></p> <p><?php echo get_post_meta(get_the_ID(), 'event_date_time', true); ?></p> <div class="post-meta <?php echo $extra_class; ?>"> </div><!--/post-meta--> </div> </div> </article>
But in the article tag i can get the sponsors image url with this line:
<?php echo get_post_meta(get_the_ID(), 'sponsors_logo_file_url', true); ?>
but later inside the article tag it works just fine, here:
<img src="<?php echo get_post_meta(get_the_ID(), 'sponsors_logo_file_url', true); ?>">
In this img tag it returns the full image url, in the article tag it just returns: "http://example.com/events/" but not the direct link to the image.
Why does this happen and how can i solve it?

How do you setup a Wordpress multi-site inside another multi-site? (sub directories)
I have a Wordpress Multi-site setup configured as follows:
I would like the URL for the site domain.com/anothersite/ to be domain.com/asite/anothersite.
Is this even possible? If anyone could offer any advice that would be greatly appreciated.
Wordpress Multisite subdomain SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN
I have a hoster which requires a separate SSL Certificate for every subdomain. Every separate Certificate coasts money.
I have setup a single wordpress blog at https://www.example.com with SSL Certificate 1.
I have setup a multisite wordpress blog at https://projects.example.com with SSL Certificate 2.
I use Simple SSL Plugin on every wordpress blog.
If I create a new multisite blog (sub-blog), the URL would be:
To better access the sub-blog I have setup a subdomain redirect from:
http://example-blog.example.com/ -----> https://projects.example.com /example-blog
Now if I try to access the subdomain via https like this:
https://example-blog.example.com/ -----> https://projects.example.com /example-blog
Your connection is not secure
Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN
Unable to communicate securely with peer: requested domain name does not match the server’s certificate.
However, if i add an exception, the redirect works fine.
I understand that if I'm trying to access the subdomain with https, the browser is trying to access the Certificate 1 from https://www.example.com but this one differs from the subdomain and that's why I'm getting the error.
I'm thinking how to fix this, but I have no idea at the moment.
