how to avoid a user to copy files from a remote Ubuntu server?
Is there any setting scripts or ideas to achieve that goal? The user is the computer user, such as administrator or guest, rather than Web application user or others.

Intel Pin memory management
I was observing the memory layout for different OpenCV applications (edge.cpp, for example) by looking at
/proc/$PID/maps. As expected, there is a heap, and a stack as well as other expected segments. However, when I'm instrumenting these applications with my DebugTrace Pintool, the
mapsfile doesn't show a heap. I was wondering how Pin changes the memory layout of applications and how could it possibly handle a large heap?
Pin user guide talks about how Pin and Pintools manage the memory they need. However, it doesn't explain how Pin changes the user program memory layout. Also, in this answer, Mackie points out that Pin changes memory layout but I was hoping for a more detailed answer.
I'm using Pin 3.7 under Fedora 24 with kernel 4.9 on an x86_64 machine.
Tar compress files when some can be missing
I am writing a bash script that pulls files from another server to the current directory. The issue is that I get a lot of files and I only need ~3 of them; however all 3 might not be there.
For example, make server all:
server call --> file1.txt file2.txt file3.xls file4.json .... (etc)
Then compress files with tar:
tar zcf needed_files.tgz file4.json file23.doc *.txt
file4.jsonwas not there, so I would expect tar to compress
.txtfiles but the script fails with:
tar: file4.json: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
I have tried other combinations of tar commands like
czvfbut no luck.
I cant pair (connect) my Realtek bluetooth 4.0 adapter to a Arteck HB030B Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard
I am running kubuntu 18.04.1 and my wireless keyboard doesn't connect. Well, it kinda does, but I have to keep the keyboard in contact with the laptop. My Android phone can connect and I can use the keyboard at a distance, but it's not the case with the laptop. I tried almost everything there is and yes, I can connect my phone with laptop. Any help would be much appreciated!!!
How do I check if a ubuntu package is signed or not
I want to check if a package is signed or not. I do not necessarily want to ensure the validity of the packages - I just want to see if it is signed or not.
Is there a way to do this in ubuntu?
How do I upload an entire folder on GoDaddy (not just a single file at a time)?
Is there an option to upload an entire folder (the entire website folder). My project includes files such as index.html, about.html, contact.html, services.html, a css folder with 8 .css files inside it, a fonts folder with various files in it, an images folder with various images and folders in this folder as well, and a js folder with various .js files in it.
How can I just upload this entire project folder together? I can't just manually upload a single file at a time, this will take forever.
Folder/File Management on server
Have been pretty stumped on how to do the following for the company I'm at:
-When a file is added to a server or modified that it triggers a process for all responsible parties to approve the add/mod for file access to all READ privileged users. I've looked at Microsoft flow tentatively.
-A way to create new item folder/subfolders. Right now I'm using Kutools+ to do this from a spreadsheet.
Essentially this is trying to be a simple Document Control Repository. Any pointers are greatly appreciated as there won't be any 1 solution to this as I continue working on it.
Does the domain hoster geographical location matter
I have set up a server in Japan in addition to our original on in Europe, to increase speed to users in Japan. I have cloned the code and set it up the same as our original one. I have two domains both hosted by the same (European) domain name hoster. One domain points to our server in Europe and the other domain to our server in Japan. Would the speed be better (for Japaneese users) if I used a Japanese domain name hoster for the domain pointing to the Japanese server?
