Counter value in for() java

Is there a way by which I can know the counter value ('i' in the below code) without maintaining a counter variable.

int i=0;
for (Object o: objects) {
    System.out.println(i+" : " + o.toString());

I am aware of other ways of doing it:

for (int i=0; i<objects.size(); i++){

I am looking for something like, object.position()
