Local instance of SQL Server 2017 min requirements
I have Windows 7 running on my machine (I know it's old) and when I try to install SQL Server 2017 using the setup utility, I get this error:
The operating system on this computer does not meet the min requirements for SQL Server 2017. To determine the min required OS supported for this SQL server release, see the hardware and software requirements.
This is the link provided: Hardware and Software Requirements for Installing SQL Server
I don't see anything there that stands out that my machine does not have. I know people have installed SQL Server 2017 on Windows 7 boxes, so that can't be the issue.
I tried changing the compatibility mode by right clicking the setup file and properties too, to Windows 7 but I still can't get passed that error message.
I think at the link you provided Windows 7 is actually not in the list of OS supported? Here it's also mentioned SQl Server 2017 can only be installed on Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 and later versions.

I’m having trouble trying to de-duplicate records. My data is as follows:
ID - AccountId - ContactId - CreatedDATE 1 - 100 - 1000 - 2017/11/25 2 - 100 - 1000 - 2016/07/29 3 - 200 - 2000 - 2015/12/25 4 - 200 - 2000 - 2012/01/01 5 - 300 - 3000 - 2010/09/15 6 - 300 - 3000 - 2019/05/15 7 - 300 - 3000 - 2018/03/25 8 - 400 - 4000 - 2010/01/05 9 - 400 - 4000 - 2011/01/05 10 - 400 - 4000 - 2019/01/05 11 - 400 - 4000 - 2014/01/05
I want to remove duplicate
ContactIdrecords and want to retain the the record from the duplicate with the latest
Essentially, from this sample data set I only want to keep records with
IDas 1, 3, 6 and 10 (duplicate removed and retains latest
I’ve made a few attempts but am having trouble. Looking for suggestions.
Database location using wildfly and SQL Server
I was able to develop a spring boot application with SQL Server as the database (which I could explore and add data to it from the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio) then I was trying to host the website using WildFly, I configured the SQL Server data source and the application is successfully launched The problem is I can't use the same database that I used locally (and I don't even know where it is stored) so I can't even login to my application I used the same connection URL that I used for my locally application
Thanks in advance
Retention Query - Counting Users with BETWEEN Condition in LEFT JOIN
I've created a retention query that works when trying to find out how many unique users from Day 0 logged in on Day 7 (or any other specific future date).
However, the problem is that now I'm trying to see how many users from Day 0 have logged in from Day 1 to Day 7 (or any other future date range).
Here's the current query that runs, but produces no results:
select FirstTime, count(distinct(newusers)) as NewUsers, FutureDate , count(distinct(retaineduser)) as RetainedUser from ( select nu.UserID as newusers, firsttime, l.UserID as retaineduser, l.LoginDate as FutureDate from ##newusers nu left join ##logins l on nu.UserID = l.UserID and FirstTime between dateadd(dd, -1, l.logindate) and dateadd(dd, -7, l.logindate) group by nu.UserID, FirstTime, l.UserID, l.logindate ) as x group by FirstTime, futuredate HAVING count(retaineduser) > 0
I can't seem to wrap my head around why this isn't working. Is using a BETWEEN condition considered bad practice on JOINS? This is on SQL Server.
Sample data and desired results.
NewUser - FirstTime A - 2/1/2019 B - 2/1/2019 C - 2/1/2019 D - 2/2/2019
RetainedUser - LoginDate A - 2/1/2019 A - 2/3/2019 A - 2/4/2019 B - 2/1/2019 B - 2/6/2019 C - 2/1/2019 C - 2/10/2019 D - 2/2/2019 D - 2/3/2019
FirstTime - NewUsers - FutureDate - RetainedUser 2/1/2019 - 3 - 2/8/2019 - 2 2/2/2019 - 1 - 2/9/2019 - 1
So the desired results would have the first date and amount of new users that logged in then. Along with the future date that's 7 days in the future with the amount of users that logged in between day 1 and day 7.
Existing drupal website stay as new website
I'm a little confused about installing an existing Drupal project. The existing project has been developed with Drupal and Symfony. I'm using Wamp and PHP 7.2.14.
I do the following steps for the installation:
- Create database in PhpMyAdmin
- Import the existing database
- Run "consposer install" at the root of the website folder.
- Change the database setting to connect mine
- Run from the Navigator: MonSite/web/core/install.php
- It shows MyDrupal is already installed so I run update script.
Then I launch the website but still have nothing. I always have an empty Drupal page (the same as the one created after installation of a new drupal project).
Thank you for your help !

Cabal problems installing music-suite
I am trying to install music-suite for use with Haskell via cabal. Following the instructions, here http://music-suite.github.io/docs/ref/ , which suggest downloading Lilypond, I entered
cabal install lilypondand downloaded it successfully.
Problems began when I tried to install music-suite via cabal. Here is what happened:
mm$ cabal install music-suite clang: warning: argument unused during compilation: '-nopie' [-Wunused-command-line-argument] Resolving dependencies... cabal: Could not resolve dependencies: [__0] trying: music-suite-1.9.0 (user goal) [__1] trying: musicxml2-1.9.0 (dependency of music-suite) [__2] trying: base-184.108.40.206/installed-4.1... What exactly has gone wrong? How can I resolve this problem?
I tried to install it via stack, but this message came up:
Error: While constructing the build plan, the following exceptions were encountered: In the dependencies for music-suite-1.9.0: abcnotation must match ==1.9.0, but the stack configuration has no specified version (latest matching version is 1.9.0) lilypond must match ==1.9.0, but the stack configuration has no specified version (latest matching version is 1.9.0) music-articulation must match ==1.9.0, but the stack configuration has no specified version (latest matching version is 1.9.0) music-dynamics must match ==1.9.0, but the stack configuration has no specified version (latest matching version is 1.9.0) music-dynamics-literal must match ==1.9.0, but the stack configuration has no specified version (latest matching version is 1.9.0) music-parts must match ==1.9.0, but the stack configuration has no specified version (latest matching version is 1.9.0) music-pitch must match ==1.9.0, but the stack configuration has no specified version (latest matching version is 1.9.0) music-pitch-literal must match ==1.9.0, but the stack configuration has no specified version (latest matching version is 1.9.0) music-preludes must match ==1.9.0, but the stack configuration has no specified version (latest matching version is 1.9.0) music-score must match ==1.9.0, but the stack configuration has no specified version (latest matching version is 1.9.0) musicxml2 must match ==1.9.0, but the stack configuration has no specified version (latest matching version is 1.9.0) needed since music-suite is a build target. Some different approaches to resolving this: * Consider trying 'stack solver', which uses the cabal-install solver to attempt to find some working build configuration. This can be convenient when dealing with many complicated constraint errors, but results may be unpredictable. * Recommended action: try adding the following to your extra-deps in /Users/mm/.stack/global-project/stack.yaml: - abcnotation-1.9.0 - lilypond-1.9.0 - music-articulation-1.9.0 - music-dynamics-1.9.0 - music-dynamics-literal-1.9.0 - music-parts-1.9.0 - music-pitch-1.9.0 - music-pitch-literal-1.9.0 - music-preludes-1.9.0 - music-score-1.9.0 - musicxml2-1.9.0
What should I do? The site here http://hackage.haskell.org/package/music-suite-1.9.0/dependencies lists various dependencies for music suite. Should I try
stack installfor all of these dependencies?
