Ardupilot SITL advanced testing

I want to control the arducopter simulator using the actual remote of a 3DR SOlo drone, thereby fly the simulator using the actual remote.

3DR Solo remote doesn't have a USB output, so it can't be connected to the ardupilot simulator as a joystick. Secondly, I also want to get the real telemetry given by mission planner and feed it to the simulator.

How can I connect the 3DR Solo remote to the ardupilot SITL simulator?

And also, how do I convert .tlog format files given from mission planner into .param format, to feed those into the ardupilot simulator?
