Highlighting duplicate values in a column in OpenOffice Calc
I'm using a Linux machine and I've been trying to find an equivalent to excel's
"highlight Cell Rules > Duplicate Values"
formula that I can use to color cells that have duplicates on the column in OpenOffice Calc. I've already found and tried
COUNTIF(A$1:A$15; A1)>1
as a formula but this doesn't work on every single item in the column vs every single other one.

How to compare one cell with a range and if TRUE  copycontent from the right cell?
I need to compare two columns I and L and copy matched result from M column. It is a list of 1000+ product codes (I,L) and EAN codes (M). So if cell I1 is found in range of L1:L1000 (lets say it found in L3 cell), then formula should copy the M3 cell.
Tried
VLOOKUP
andMATCH
and someIF
, but cannot figure it out how to make it work as it returns blank orREF!

How could I properly set up this loan equation based on my code?
The question wants me to create 2 scenarios
 The user accepts the dealer’s rebate offer and finances the car through his or her local credit union.
and
 The user declines the dealer’s rebate offer but accepts the dealer’s lower financing rate.
It expects for me to use the periodic payment formula, which is: principal * rate / (1 – (rate + 1)term) and use it to get either a monthly or annual payment.
The problem that I am having with my code I believe has something to do with my equations I am using to get annual or monthly loan payments, it for sure is not giving me the correct answer to my inputs and I do not know why.
I have tried changing the equations around several times and still no avail.

I expect for the user to input the principle, rate, and length of loan then the compiler to do the math and then output the correct numbers. My actual results are negative numbers or irrational numbers.

How can I convert GPS coordinates to ETRS89 programmatically?
I want to use a Navilock GPS mouse to get the current GPS coordinates. However, my maps have a different coordinate system (ETRS89 UTM Zone 32N, EPSG code 25832).
How can I convert the coordinate systems? I'm looking for the formula or a library.

Conditional sum of range with blank cells in Calc
I have the following data in a spreadsheet:

I wish to calculate the sum of all numbers in
Value1
andValue2
, so I have an output of: Type Total AAA 5  BBB 6  
To do this, I need a formula in the cells under
Total
. However, the formulas I've tried do not work when blank cells exist. If I were to put a 0 in every blank cell, I would get the desired outcome, but my data set is much larger than the provided example, and having that many cells with 0 would reduce readability.The formula I've tried is shown below. Now, if every blank cell contained a zero, the output shown above would be what I'd see with this formula. The formula sums up every value in the B2:C5 range if

Open Office  get entire rows by title
For example I have two cells A1 and B2 with titles like "Cars" and "Moto".
I need to understand how can I get all rows in list by title ?
Generally I need to create two select, the first select will be contain all (parsed) titles for example from A1:J1 and the second select show all rows (in list) by selected title.

Recasting a STRING into a VALUE in LibreOffice Calc with python UNO
I have a python class that does some currency conversion and string formatting of numbers. It takes polymorphic input, but only spits out a stringified number.
I can push those stringified numbers up to a LibreOffice Calc in python easy enough:

This actually works nicely since the builtin currency formats in Calc work just fine with stringified numbers.
What doesn't work is formulas. Or sortof doesn't work. Calling
SUM(A1:A2)
will not see the stringified A1. There is a workaround (forgive me it is late and I forget it exactly but it is similar to:)=SUMRECORD(VALUE(A1:A2))
As I understand it, each cell has a memory location for a number, a string, and a formula. The formula only acts on the
VALUE
memory location.Through the spreadsheet UI, I can convert one cell type to another during a copy. To do that I just put the following formula in A2, and it converts
STRING(A1)
toVALUE( A2)
:# forumula placed in A2 =VALUE(A1)
But that only works by copying one cell to another. Obviously there is an internal recasting function within the spreadsheet that is doing the conversion during the copy.
What I want to do, is write a stringified number to the spreadsheet (as above) and then call the spreadsheets native recasting function in place from python, so that VALUE(A1) is recast from STRING(A1).
If I knew what the recasting function was I could just call it after every string write. This would make macros in the UI work like the user expects them to work.
If you're answer is: "do type conversion pythonside", I've already considered that, and it is not the solution I'm looking for.
