Is there a way to report data from a URL presented as an XML schema?
Within Report Builder 3.0, I'd like the option for the user to click on a link that would report based on data contained in an XML URL.
The URL contains a product number in it. The code would contain the URL plus whatever product the user clicks on.
The URL (with a random product number) looks like this: http://apps.tga.gov.au/prod/ARTGSearch/ARTGWebService.svc/ARTGValueSearch/?licenceid=20000&
Ideally the user would click on a product in report builder and a report would be generated from the data contained within the XML.

SCCM Reporting Computer names side by side in one cell on report the add/remove software
With this code, I report the add/remove software on the system center configuration manager together with the versions.
SELECT distinct v_Add_Remove_Programs.DisplayName0 as 'Software Name', v_Add_Remove_Programs.Publisher0 as 'Publisher', v_Add_Remove_Programs.Version0 as 'Version' from v_GS_COMPUTER_SYSTEM CS right join v_GS_PC_BIOS BIOS on BIOS.ResourceID = CS.ResourceID right join v_RA_System_SMSAssignedSites RAA on RAA.ResourceID = CS.ResourceID left join v_GS_NETWORK_ADAPTER_CONFIGUR NA on NA.ResourceID = CS.ResourceID left join v_Add_Remove_Programs on v_Add_Remove_Programs.ResourceID = CS.ResourceID where NA.DNSHostName0 <> 'Null' and (v_Add_Remove_Programs.DisplayName0 not like '%Security Update%' and v_Add_Remove_Programs.DisplayName0 not like '%Update For Windows%' and v_Add_Remove_Programs.DisplayName0 not like 'Hotfix%') and (v_Add_Remove_Programs.Publisher0 not like '%Microsoft%') and (v_Add_Remove_Programs.Publisher0 not like '%Catalyst%') group by CS.domain0, CS.Username0, v_Add_Remove_Programs.DisplayName0, v_Add_Remove_Programs.Publisher0, v_Add_Remove_Programs.Version0 ORDER BY v_Add_Remove_Programs.DisplayName0
What I want is to see in the last column in a single cell which computers are installed.
Always refresh option for a report parameter - SSRS 2014-2016
in a SSRS 2014 report I've an unique report parameter, a boolean one. I need to refresh the report when I change the report parameter value without using the "View Report" button. I'm trying to use the "Always refresh" option for the unique parameter but it seems that it doesn't function. Any suggests to me to solve this issue, please? Thanks
SSRS: filter parameter passed to sub-report
Let's say I have a dataset that looks like this:
ID | Name 1 | John 2 | Bill 3 | Mike (Inactive) 4 | Jim
I'm using that as a parameter in my main report, where the
Label. This works as wanted.
Now I have a subreport which is accessed by pressing a field on the main report. The field has an action set to go the the wanted subreport. At this moment, it is also passing all parameters.
This is what it looks like:
However, I want it to exclude all names that contain
Inactive. I tried it by using expression such as
NOT(Parameters!pEmployee_List.Value LIKE "*Inactive*")
But when I pass to the subreport from the main, it gives the error that no parameter is selected.
Any ideas, suggestions?
After being pointed out by Stefan Steiger, I confused
label. I would like the filter to work on
valuebecause it's being used a lot already on the subreport.
My second attempt:
=IIF(Parameters!pEmployee_List.Label LIKE "*Inactive*", "0", Parameters!pEmployee_List.Value)
Is there a way to change display/sort order of SSRS schedules?
When I am setting up a Subscription in SSRS the list of Schedules is returned in the drop down the order they were added to the database.
Is there any way of controlling this order so that new schedules can be displayed in the drop-down in our "preferred" order?
ssrs 2012 lookup funcition with a parameter school-number and iif
In an SSRS 2012 report, I am trying to use the following statement and the syntax works but I do not need the distinct rows I want: iif (first(Fields!schoolNumber.Value) = Fields!schoolNumber.Value, false, true)
Basically what I am trying to do is to use the school number of the first record when the particular report is running, I want to keep the value result set of (school number) returned by the query and save the result somewhere like in a hidden parameter value. I then want to use the row visibility property, and display the result of the information from each of the rows returned if the results = school numbers are the same.
Basically the information to be displayed are: 1. school number, 2, school year, 3. student number, and 4. grade.
I cannot create another paramter value since there are 72 existing rdls that already pass school year, student number, and grade among the rdls and I do not want to pass another parameter value around among the existing 72 rdls. I think using addtional dataset by work, but I do not know how to setup the lookup furnction to accomplish my goal.
Here is the sql I am using right now:
SELECT studentNumber AS StudentNumber , admingrade AS AdminGrade , [schoolNumber] [grade] FROM [dbo].[StudentAssessment] WHERE studentNumber in (@StudentNumber) and admingrade IN (@Grade) AND schoolYear = @SchoolYear
Basically overall I want to display all information for one school number.
Thus would you tell me what I can do to solve the problem?
