How to select remote storage engine for Prometheus?
I plan to use Prometheus as the monitoring system. There are many system monitoring indicators, which need to store for at least one year. Therefore, to use remote storage. I want to ask you how to select the remote storage of Prometheus (it is found that the most used is influxdb, but the cluster version is not open source)

How can I determine if a postgres temporary table was created?
When running a query that creates a temporary table if it doesn't exist, how do I determine if a new table was actually created?
For example if I create a temporary table with
CREATE TEMP TABLE IF NOT EXISTS namecan I get the query to return something if a new table was created or not?
In my specific case, upon creating a temporary table I then run another query to copy some data to it so I need to ensure that I am only copying the data if the temporary table was recreated (if for example the table was dropped because of some momentary connection drop out or something). I am using psycopg2.
Loading Trie From Database
I have a PHP & MYSQL web application in which I wish to implement auto-completion for a search box.
All documentation leads to implementing this using a Trie data structure. This makes sense however my question is around the persistent storage and where the Trie comes into play. Alot of examples talk about pre-computing top phrases for a given prefix and store those in indexed database like Redis so for example the key "DO" would return DOLLAR, DOG and DOOR - The API call would then return those phrases.
If this is the case where the Trie comes into play - would it be in a pre-computing stage where I would be inserting the keys into the storage for a given prefix?
Or when the user types in "D" would I be trying to build a Trie where "D" is the prefix and search that? (This solution seems time consuming for large data sets)
Can someone clarify the overall approach?
Uploading Excel to Azure storage as a memorystream is corrupting the file
I am uploading an Excel memorystream to Azure Storage as a blob. Blob is saved successfully but corrupted while opening or downloading.
The same memorystream is working fine on local as I am able to convert the memorystream into Excel with no errors.
what type of sql can represent sound data in a column?
I need to attach, create a new column in a sql db. It should store the numeric numpy representation of a user's voice - numpy array or an image - spectrogram. numpy array looks like this:
array([[ 2.891e-07, 2.548e-03, ..., 8.116e-09, 5.633e-09], [ 1.986e-07, 1.162e-02, ..., 9.332e-08, 6.716e-09], ..., [ 3.668e-09, 2.029e-08, ..., 3.208e-09, 2.864e-09], [ 2.561e-10, 2.096e-09, ..., 7.543e-10, 6.101e-10]])
I know sql can only store text data, wonder if it s possible to attach or represent shortly the array in a column.
ID | date | voice 1 01-01-20 array([[ 2.891e-07, 2.548e-03... 2 01-02-20 array([[ 2.891e-07,
Percona and Grafana database monitoring
I've got two machines. On 1 machine there are MariaDB and Prometheus installed. On the second machine I've got Grafana monitoring software installed. I monitor user statistics from the 1 machine by using Prometheus and Percona dashboards in Grafana.
On the 1 machine I have mariadb-server with a lot of different databases like
db1_access db1_users db1_selects db2_access db2_users db3_selects and so on...
My question is:
Is it possible to monitor each database separately? Like create variable with query for each particular database in Grafana and see the user statistics form only e.g. db1_users?
It seems to me that Prometheus can only recognize one server or another and cannot access particular database on server...
Thanks for any help in advance!

Prometheus yaml file: did not find expected key
I am new to the yml file formatting and I cannot figure out why when I run the application, I get the error:
error loading config from \"prometheus.yml\": couldn't load configuration (--config.file=\"prometheus.yml\"): parsing YAML file prometheus.yml: yaml: line 34: did not find expected key
That is the only notification I get and there is nothing specific about it. This is what my file looks like:
# my global config global: scrape_interval: 15s # Set the scrape interval to every 15 seconds. Default is every 1 minute. evaluation_interval: 15s # Evaluate rules every 15 seconds. The default is every 1 minute. # scrape_timeout is set to the global default (10s). # Alertmanager configuration alerting: alertmanagers: - static_configs: - targets: # - alertmanager:9093 # Load rules once and periodically evaluate them according to the global 'evaluation_interval'. rule_files: # - "first_rules.yml" # - "second_rules.yml" # A scrape configuration containing exactly one endpoint to scrape: # Here it's Prometheus itself. scrape_configs: # The job name is added as a label `job=<job_name>` to any timeseries scraped from this config. - job_name: 'prometheus' # metrics_path defaults to '/metrics' # scheme defaults to 'http'. static_configs: - targets: ['localhost:9090'] global: scrape_interval: 10s evaluation_interval: 10s - job_name: 'kafka' static_configs: - targets: - localhost:7071
Is my spacing causing the error? I tried duplicating the spacing like the default file. If I remove everything after the 2nd global, it runs. How can I fix this?
