Number occurrences in another cell (Excell)
In the example below there's a columnA with names and a columnB counting how many instances that the name occurs. How can I write a formula for ColumnB that I can paste so I don't have to manually count the number of occurrences of each name.
Note: The names are sorted so they are grouped together and the count stars back at one when there's a new name.
Thanks for your help!

Is there a way to highlight the cell based on different values on another cells
Sorry if my questions will sound silly. I am not an excel expert and I really struggle to create a formula to highlight a cell. I am working with two different sheets on workbook: 1.Production & 2.Stock missing I am updating Production sheet with production order numbers (Column G). Production order is unique and can't repeat on this worksheet.
When someone have a problem with stock, they adding this number to second sheet (Stock missing) in column B. They are also clarifying Location of order in column F. Location of order could be "CW" or "TP"(nothing more). When problem is sorted for the particular production order, employees are choosing "YES" from drop down list in column K (the same "Stock missing" sheet).
What I want to do: I want to highlight production order number in RED (in "Production" Worksheet) if the production order number equals the same production order in "Stock missing" sheet and has location of order "CW", but when they choosing "Yes" in column K, color should disappear. But if location of order is "TP" i want to do the same as above, just highlight the cell in YELLOW. I was trying to find a formula that could help me, but with now luck....
Hope all of this make sense and there someone could help me. Please let me know is you need any more details. Probably it's an easy way of doing it, but I just lost the hope.. Thank you in advance
vba waitOnReturn stops Excel
I made a vba program (in Excel) in which I need the keyword waitOnReturn so my shell ends before formatting some cells. The problem is : when the program is waiting (for the shell to end), it is impossible to use Excel on my PC, I can't modify another file, nor opening some. As the shell takes 30 minutes, it is annoying.
Is there a way to specify I want to be able to use Excel when my shell is running even if I specified waitOnReturn ?
Thank you very much.
Create a new workbook on same folder from sheet on onedrive VBA
I have a code as below. It is copying the sheet and save it as new workbook in same folder with the active workbook.dialog box open and user type a new name for this new workbook. however it is not working anymore since company moved the folders into onedrive.
NewName = InputBox("Please Specify the name of your new workbook", "New Copy") ActiveWorkbook.SaveCopyAs ThisWorkbook.Path & "\" & NewName & ".xlsx" ActiveWorkbook.Close SaveChanges:=False
I have fullname function to also change file format as pdf and it is working.
sPath = ActiveWorkbook.FullName FileName = LocalFullName(ActiveWorkbook.FullName) ActiveWorkbook.ExportAsFixedFormat _ Type:=xlTypePDF, _ FileName:=Left(FileName, InStr(FileName, ".") - 1), _ Quality:=xlQualityStandard, _ IncludeDocProperties:=True, _ IgnorePrintAreas:=False, _ OpenAfterPublish:=True
Private Function LocalFullName$(ByVal fullPath$) Dim ii& Dim iPos& Dim oneDrivePath$ Dim endFilePath$ If Left(fullPath, 8) = "https://" Then If InStr(1, fullPath, "my.sharepoint.com") <> 0 Then iPos = InStr(1, fullPath, "/Documents") + Len("/Documents") endFilePath = Mid(fullPath, iPos) Else iPos = 8 For ii = 1 To 2 iPos = InStr(iPos + 1, fullPath, "/") Next ii endFilePath = Mid(fullPath, iPos) End If endFilePath = Replace(endFilePath, "/", Application.PathSeparator) For ii = 1 To 3 oneDrivePath = Environ(Choose(ii, "OneDriveCommercial", "OneDriveConsumer", "OneDrive")) If 0 < Len(oneDrivePath) Then LocalFullName = oneDrivePath & endFilePath Exit Function End If Next ii LocalFullName = vbNullString Else LocalFullName = fullPath End If End Function
I cannot apply fullname inside not working code.
Excel function that returns a value if all columns meet a criteria
I'm trying to make a new column that returns either a '1' or a '0' if an individual has made it to the end of a sequence so I can use Vlookup to return their names and number of opens. They're considered to have finished the sequence if they are not paused, have not replied, and have not unsubscribed. They have to meet all three criteria i.e. D2 has to be "No", E2 & F2 have to be blank. If so, return 1, else return 0.
I'm having trouble with the COUNTIFS function (if that's even what I'm supposed to be using) and I'm not sure how to make it return a 1 or 0. I've attached a screenshot of the sheet below. Any help/ advice would be much appreciated!

EXCEL: Return Unique Values from Two Different Columns in Two Different Sheets in One Column in Another Sheet
I want to return all unique values from TWO separate columns in TWO different sheets into ONE column in another sheet. For example, I have three sheets: IN, OUT, and UNIQUE.
- Sheet "IN" has a table called "IN_TABLE" with the following columns: PRODUCT ID, QTY, SUPPLIER ID, DATE, and TIME.
- Sheet "OUT" has a table called "OUT_TABLE" with the following columns: PRODUCT ID, QTY, CUSTOMER ID, DATE, and TIME.
- Sheet "UNIQUE" is where I want to return all UNIQUE Product ID from both Sheets "IN" and "OUT".
I want my "UNIQUE" Sheet to look something like this:
In Google Sheets, you can return the unique values for each sheets in Column C and D of Sheet "UNIQUE" and then use the
=UNIQUE(FLATTEN())function to do something like this, but I don't know how I will achieve this using Excel 365.
