GKE Cluster Node CBR0 bridge interface is not found

I have been playing with GKE cluster recently. I have a question regarding their CNI. I have read from their documents that there is a bridge which all veth interfaces connect to. However, I cannot find it on the nodes.

root@gke-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:~# brctl show
bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces
docker0 8000.0242fd0b0cf4 no

You can use the “brctl show” command to get the bridge and interface details in a node. It will work if interfaces are already added to the bridge. Seems, in your case you haven’t added any interfaces to the bridge. By using below command you can add interfaces to the bridge and use the same to command ("brctl show") to get all required bridge and interface details in a node.

Syntax: sudo brctl addif bridge name and interface name

    sudo brctl addif docker0 veth0

You can follow this document for your reference.

Hope this information may help you.
