• Test a decorated function in Python

  I have a python function which is decorated.

  I've written tests for the given as below.

      @patch("other inside function to mock")
      @patch("other insdie function to mock 2")

  But I am getting this error that says add_somehthing takes 1 positional argument.

  TypeError: add_something() takes 1 positional argument but 3 were given
• Unit testing with get request

  I am trying to create a unit test for one of my api.

  In the frontend, I send it this way...

  params = {
      participants: JSON.stringify(participants),
      section: JSON.stringify(section),
  };
  axios.get('/api/list', params)
  

  while in the controller, it receives the params this way...

  Now, I tried making a unit test out of this. by doing...

  But none of them works, it always says TypeError: json_decode(): Argument #1 ($json) must be of type string, array given.

  So, the way I built the url and the params must be all wrong,

  so my question here is that, what's the correct way of building the url so that it provides a correct url string format and the controller will json_decode the params?
• Updating a Single Column In Room Database

  I specified nightMode= because I thought that this way I'm only updating this colummn, but it turns out that it resets every column, how do I update a single column, while keeping the values the rest of the columns?
• Android ZoneDateTime.withHour always sets hour to 8

  So I am tring to schedule alarm at a particular time on current day using AlarmManager. To do that I am using ZoneDateTime to get current time and then updating it to the hour at which I need to set the alarm. But for some reason time.withHour is giving me 8pm or 8am no matter what hour I am passing to it. Am I doing something wrong here?

• Is there any way to mock API responses using snapshots?

  I'm currently trying to find a good way to mock API responses for a subset of end-to-end tests, and was thinking it would be swell if there was a way to take snapshots when the backend services are healthy, and then use those snap-shotted responses in place of making actual HTTP requests when the tests are being run. Does anyone know if a library exists for this sort of thing?

  Basically, I'd like to do something like the following:

  It would be great if I could just use jest for this, since I'm using jest anyway. But as far as I can tell, jest doesn't have any file-based snapshot methods besides toMatchSnapshot() and I really need to be able to saveSnapshot() and readSnapshot() arbitrarily.
• Library functions in Inspec Test

  I have a ruby library helper in which I have defined multiple functions/methods. How do I reference those in Chef Inspec tests?

  In my specific use case, I am checking to see if a custom networking device was specified as a JSON parameter, and if it was, I am validating it make sure its real (incase they misspelled it) and also gathering its IP and state and other data as reported by Ohai

  This is what I have so far, but I'm not sure if this is correct

  The problem / question is that if I gather the parameter directly from the JSON file, then I am bypassing all the validation logic that I'm doing in the library, which defeats the purpose. So, how do I get access to that library function/method in the Inspec test?

• Room DB ANR Input dispatching timed out

  I am doing a db get operation for my cart page which has multiple tables. I have mapper class which has all the relations with all the tables. I have used coroutines also to fetch the data :

  I am having a method in viewmodel to get the data which I have called inside couroutine lifecyclescope IO Dispatcher and returned the result in the Main thread inside Main Dispatcher. But still the ANR occurs. Can someone provide me with a better solution to stop this ANR.
• Async requests in Kotlin Android

  I often get an error android.os.NetworkOnMainThreadException, when I try get info from some api. I know that this problem is related to the main android thread, but I don't understand how to solve it - coroutines, async okhttp, or both? P.S I have a bad eng, sorry.
